
This afternoon, Jyles Etienne ’17 earned his fifth invitational high jump victory as a Hoosier, and the third of his sophomore season, with a 6′ 9″ effort at the Indiana Relays, hosted by Indiana University.
The former Bear passed at the first five heights (6′ 0.5″, 6′ 2.25″, 6′ 4.25″, 6′ 6″ & 6′ 7.5″) before clearing 6′ 9″ on his second attempt. He then passed at 6′ 10.75″ before missing on his three attempts at 7′ 0.25″.
Etienne remains the #1 high jumper in the Big Ten Conference with a season best jump of 7′ 1″. The Hoosiers are back in action next weekend at the Power 5 Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan.
