#10 | Bears Top Royals to Earn 18th Straight Playoff Berth | February 10th

The boys’ basketball team tops crosstown rival Port Jeff, 52-45, to clinch their 18th straight playoff berth, the second longest active streak in Suffolk County.

#9 | Boys Badminton Clinches League Title | May 10th

In just their fourth season as a program, the boys’ badminton team clinches the League II Championship with a 6-3 victory over Walt Whitman.

#8 | Bears Upset Whalers in County Semis | February 14th

In one of the most thrilling games of 2018, the girls’ basketball team upsets Pierson in Sag Harbor, 47-44, to punch their first ticket to the County Championship since 2013.

#7 | Markowitz Leads Memorable Day at League Championships | February 3rd

Hunter Markowitz wins two individual League Championships and rewrites one school record on a memorable day for the boys’ swim team.

#6 | Track Teams Cruise vs. Ross | May 3rd

The girls’ and boys’ track teams romp over the Ross School, 117-24 and 94.5-35.5, respectively.

#5 | Stony Brook Named School of Distinction by NYSPHSAA | July 13th

Stony Brook was one of just 30 schools of the nearly 800 in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association to earn the School of Distinction honor for having 100% of its varsity teams average a GPA of 90% or above.

The boys’ soccer team opens the season with a 5-0 win over Smithtown Christian.

The boys’ and girls’ badminton teams open their season with 8-1 victories over Ward Melville.
