On this day 23 years ago, Matt Mattimore equaled Kevin Lockerbie’s 100 meter school record with a 10.9 performance at the Suffolk County Championships. Mattimore also anchored the 4×100 meter relay that day, resetting the school record to 44.3 with the help of Matt Spooner, Marc Vega, and Larry Wilson.

In 2010, Taylor Colucci joined the 100 meter party with a 10.9 run in a dual meet vs. The Ross School/Pierson. Colucci eventually broke the record in 2012. The top mark currently stands at 10.84, set by Charles Tankeh at the 2014 New York State Championships.
