Colucci practices starts at this year’s New York Relays
On this day last year, sophomore Taylor Colucci had an afternoon to remember in a tri-meet with Southampton and The Ross School/Pierson, helping the Bears gain lopsided wins over the Mariners, 89-43, and the Ravens/Whalers, 119.5-12.5. Colucci began his day with a 10.9 performance in the 100 meters, tying the 33-year-old school record with Kevin Lockerbie ’77 and Matt Mattimore ’95. He followed that milestone with a 22.5 in the 200 meters, leaving him just .02 away from tying the school record, before closing the meet with a strong leg as the anchor of the winning 4×100 meter relay team.
