On Friday evening, the girls’ lacrosse team put a crescendo on Portledge Day and Senior Day with a 16-5 under-the-lights victory over the Panthers. The Panthers got on the board first at the three-minute mark, but 35 seconds later, Mack Vesey knotted the game at 1-1. Ali Puopolo followed with a score a minute later before Portledge pulled back within a goal. Both squads traded goals again, leaving The Brook ahead 4-3 with 14:32 remaining, before the Bears unleashed an 8-0 run to end the half. Three goals from Natalia Pagano, a pair each from Dabbraccio and Mia Trama, and another score by Vesey gave the Blue & White a 12-3 edge at the half.

Vesey scored again to open the second half, closing a nine-goal Bear run, before Portledge broke their 23:32 drought with a score. The Bears punched in the next three goals to put the game away, courtesy of Pagano, Puopolo, and Trama, as the Bears cruised to the 16-5 win.
