Over the weekend, Long Island Lacrosse Journal unveiled its pre-season watch lists for each class and Morgan Ruggieri and Emily Berger were each honored among the best players in the most competitive lacrosse region in America.
Ruggieri was named to the Class of 2022 watch list for the third season in a row after a junior season in which she led all Long Island private school players in goals and points. Berger was named to the Class of 2023 watch list for the first time after a sensational sophomore season in which she was among the top Long Island goalies in both saves and save percentage. They were each the only PSAA players to make their respective lists.
The pair leads a talented group that has aspirations of making a run at the PSAA Championship. They face their first test on March 11 in a home scrimmage vs. Sacred Heart.
