On Sunday evening, the Northwestern University men’s basketball team traveled to Columbus to take on the 13th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Despite 20 points from Chase Audige ’17, the visitors could not dig themselves out of an early deficit before falling, 87-95.
The Wildcats fell behind in the opening moments and trailed by 12 at the break. Despite outscoring the hosts 48-44 in the second half, Northwestern fell short of completing the comeback. Audige was a bright spot in the loss as he hit on 7-of-14 field goals, including a pair from behind the arc, to go along with 5 rebounds, an assist, and a steal in 29 minutes.
Audige and the ‘Cats are back on the court on Wednesday in a home Big Ten match-up with Maryland.
