2018-19 Year in Review: League MVPs

The 97th year of Stony Brook Athletics was one to remember as the Bears garnered a school record 13 team championships.

Here’s a look back at the five Bears who earned regular season league MVP honors in 2018-19.

  • Beth Felix closed her career as one of the best to ever wear a Stony Brook basketball uniform. Her 22.3 points per game led all Long Island private school players as she guided the Bears to the East Division regular season championship and a berth in the tournament title game.
  • Jerry Liu went a perfect 8-0 in PSAA play and led the Bears to the undefeated regular season and tournament titles.
  • Liz Robbins‘ was the Bears’ offensive stillpoint and defensive anchor in leading the Brook to an undefeated East Division Championship and a berth in the PSAA title game.
  • Sadhana Sridhar went a perfect 8-0 in PSAA play as she led the girls’ tennis team to the undefeated East Division Championship and the PSAA Tournament title.
  • Joe Wozny led the Bears to undefeated East Division and PSAA Tournament titles, the program’s first championships in 20 years. His 4 wins, 48 strikeouts, 6 doubles, and 19 RBIs led the team.
