Titus in a ’98 semifinal win over Shoreham
On this day 21 years ago, the boys’ lacrosse team clinched a third consecutive Division II Championship with a 12-4 win over Rocky Point.
Nick Miaritis notched two first quarter goals as the Bears built an early 4-1 lead and never looked back. Mike Titus led all scorers with 3 goals while Jim Stanek (2), Nate Kenney (1), Sean Metz (1), Jay Miaritis (1), Kevin Graves (1), and Jay Smith (1) rounded out the attack. Dave Pike recorded 16 saves in net.
