Passalacqua slides into second during the 2002 season

On this day 16 years ago, Anthony Passalacqua ’99 led Erskine College to an 8-5 victory over Benedict College.

The former Bear went 2-for-4 at the plate with a 2nd inning single and a 6th inning two-run home run to finish the day with 2 runs and 2 RBIs.

In 2003, Passalacqua led the team with a .391 batting average and was ranked the 14th toughest batter to strikeout in the NCAA, fanning just eight times in 175 at bats.
