The ’32 football squad

On this day 86 years ago, the football team topped Riverdale, 7-0. Here is the account of the game from The New York Times.

Stony Brook Tops Riverdale Eleven

STONY BROOK, L. I., Oct. 8.– The Stony Brook School football team registered a 7-0 triumph over the Riverdale Country School eleven of Riverdale today in the opening game of the season for the visitors. Bud Harmon accounted for the touchdown that gave Stony Brook the victory, scoring on a line plunge in the second period. [Howard] Reese added the extra point on a drop kick.

The Blue and White went on to finish the season 5-1-1.
