
On this day 25 years ago, the girls’ track team won the fourth League Championship in their history, closing an undefeated season with a 94-41 victory over Mercy.
Anna Linzee led the way with four victories in the triple jump (32′ 2.5″), 100 hurdles (18.1), discus (89′ 9″), and long jump (15′ 2.25″) as the Bears finished 6-0.
Linzee, Khanesha Robinson, Eileen Clark, Melissa Lingle, Beth Lingle, and Becca Bancroft all earned All-League honors that season while head coach Mike Harvey was named the League VII Coach of the Year.
