Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ tennis team topped Longwood for the third straight time to improve to 4-1 on the season, their best start since the 2015 team began the season 9-1 on their way to the League Championship.
The Bears swept the Lions, 7-0, as Brandon Gicquel (6-0, 6-0), Steven Ou (4-6, 6-3, 10-6 (tiebreaker)), Wensan Yin (6-0, 6-2), and Bradley Choi (6-0, 6-1) took care of singles while Alex Kim and Jake Macaspac (6-4, 6-2), Jovan Haynes and Pratik Harjani (6-3, 6-4), and Alan Wang and Andy Liu (6-4, 6-1) teamed up to sweep doubles.
The Bears return to the court on April 3 in a home match-up with Commack.
