On Monday night, at the annual Suffolk County Volleyball Coaches Association awards dinner, freshman Elizabeth Robbins was named All-State, becoming the first freshman Brooker in any sport to earn that honor since Laura Whitney in 1978.
After coming back from an early season injury, Robbins returned to the lineup at the right time to help lead the Bears’ charge to the program’s first Suffolk County Championship. In the title game against Pierson, Robbins was brilliant in the libero role against her former team, recording 7 aces, 6 kills, and innumerable digs. In addition to the All-State recognition, Robbins was named All-County and the Suffolk Class C Tournament MVP.
