The girls’ tennis team improved to 2-0 yesterday, clipping Rocky Point, 6-1, on a beautiful afternoon that hinted at Autumn’s return. Akari Yoshida lost a tight first singles battle (7-5, 4-6, 5-7), but the rest of the team made sure her valiant effort was not wasted. Seventh-grader Sadhana Sridhar stayed undefeated at second singles (6-0, 6-0) along with Nancy Lin (6-0, 6-0) and Olivia Braat (6-1, 6-1) as the Bears took a 3-1 lead.
The doubles tandems remained undefeated as well as Ha Min Cho/Angela Wong (6-0, 6-0), Julia Braat/Julie Wu (6-3, 3-6, 7-4), and Brianna Holochuck/Gracie Xie (6-1, 6-4) rounded out the dominant victory.
The girls are back in action tomorrow at Mt. Sinai.

Thanks to Coach Mrs. Crane for her excellent coaching and guidance. Regards.
