Karina Scavo ’09 netted 2 goals in a span of 1:57 during the first half to help the Gordon College women’s soccer team win their season opener at Johnson State. Scavo’s first came with 17:52 gone in the game followed in quick succession by a blast to the lower right corner less than two minutes later. The pair of goals was the only offense the Fighting Scots needed in their 2-1 victory. Watch the video highlights here.
Before playing for the Scots, Scavo was a three-time All-State soccer player for Stony Brook. She played her freshman year at the University of New England where she garnered All-Commonwealth Coast Conference honors.

Well done Karina and congratulations to your soccer team on their season opener.
