Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ tennis team swept Long Island Lutheran, 5-0, to improve to 2-0 in PSAA play. The Bears made quick work of the visitors, allowing the match to finish just ahead of a light mist that would have forced them off the Hollis courts.
Enoch Guo (6-0, 6-1), Liam Swords (6-0, 6-1), and Mark Marinescu (6-0, 6-0) proved stout in the singles matches, while Jack Snyder and Zsolt Berencei (6-0, 6-1) and Max Kaylakov and Roy He (forfeit) closed the win with doubles victories.
The Bears are back in action on April 17 when they travel to Smithtown East for a non-league match-up.
