This week, LI Basketball Rankings released their list of the top players in the Class of 2023, and Charles Onana Awana was listed at #4, behind three players from Long Island Lutheran, currently the #12 team in last week’s MaxPreps national high school rankings.
Awana came to the Brook this fall from the NBA Academy in Senegal and is poised to make an immediate impact on a team that hopes to take another leap forward in its rise as one of the top programs in the region.
Awana and the Bears open the season on November 30 in a non-league match-up at Smithtown West.
