This afternoon, as an autumn chill fell across the Hollis Courts, the girls’ tennis team swept Solomon Schechter, 5-0, to improve to 7-0 in PSAA play and win their 25th league match in a row.

The Bears gave the seniors a proper send-off in their finals regular season match on the home hardcourts as Sarah Arrieta (6-0, 6-0), Alanna Wu (6-0, 6-0), and Isabel Guo (6-0, 6-1) went untested at singles to give The Brook the three necessary points for victory. At doubles, Carina and Ali Cristobal (6-0, 6-0) joined forces for the first time in their careers, while Sam Cox and Lyla Petroske (6-1, 6-0) completed the Senior Day sweep.

The Bears are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Schechter for a rematch.
