Yesterday afternoon, the boys’ soccer team topped Lawrence Woodmere, 16-0, to improve to 2-0 in PSAA play and 4-0 overall. In 320 minutes of soccer this season, the Bears have yet to concede a goal.
Despite removing every starter 10 minutes into the game and at one point going down to 8 players on the field, the Blue & White offense proved potent against the Tiger defense. Just 3:16 into the match The Brook held a 3-0 lead and continued to roll from there.
Nicky Candela led all scorers with 4 goals and 2 assists. Jadon Sung added 2 scores while John Fay, Lani Ajeigbe, Kevin Kiprotich Kirui, Aidan Riley, Jayson Amin, Eason Pu, Ade Adedeji, Enoch Guo, Reid Saraniero, and John Bui each added one. Assists came off the feet of James Fay (2), Guo (2), Riley (1), and Ore Ogunsina (1).
The Bears are back on the pitch tomorrow afternoon in a non-league match-up at East Hampton.
