Over the weekend, Joshua Zhang ’19 and the University of Notre Dame men’s fencing team remained undefeated on the season by going a perfect 11-0 over the two-day DeCicco Duals held at the Edmund P. Joyce Center in South Bend.

On Saturday, Zhang went 7-3 overall in his foil matches with winning records against Denison (2-1), Detroit Mercy (3-0), and Lawrence (2-1). The former Bear followed that up with a perfect 10-0 performance on Sunday by winning his nine sabre matches and single epee match. He was unblemished against Purdue (3-0), Michigan State (3-0), and Michigan (4-0) to help the Fighting Irish improve their season record to 32-0 as they continue to live up to their #1 national ranking in the USFCA Early Season Poll.

Zhang and the Irish are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Evanston, IL for the Northwestern Duals.
