Over the weekend, the University of Notre Dame men’s fencing team went a perfect 4-0 at the St. John’s Invitational, and Joshua Zhang ’19 had a hand in two of the victories.
In the opening match, the Fighting Irish defeated St. John’s, 14-13, thanks in part to Zhang’s 5-1 epee victory. Zhang also added a 4-2 epee win in the team’s 14-13 victory over Columbia. The Irish added wins over Ohio State (16-11) and Harvard (15-12) to round out a successful day in Queens.
Notre Dame is back in action on Saturday and Sunday when they host the Decicco Duals in South Bend.
