On wednesday afternoon, the girls’ volleyball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 3-0 sweep at Kew-Forest. The victory extended their league winning streak to 34 matches and their string of consecutive sweeps to 13. They have not dropped a league match since 2016 and have not lost a regular season PSAA match since joining the league in 2018.

The Bears established control from the outset, taking the opening two games, 25-9 and 25-8. The Jaguars showed toughness in the third game, but the Brook ultimately prevailed, 25-18. Niamh Scanlon was the catalyst for the offense with 38 sets/assists. Gillian Bernier led all hitters with 10 kills while Lilly Keegan added 7. Ava McCormick and Ella Middlekauff each notched 5 kills. The Bears registered 22 aces thanks to the excellent serving of Keegan (10), Scanlon (7), Bernier (4), and Lily Middlekauff (1).

The Bears are back in action on Monday as they travel to St. Anthony’s for a non-league match-up.
