Crane Leads Swimming in 1st Meet

On Tuesday afternoon, the girls’ swim team opened their season in an independent team meet against some of the best swimmers in Suffolk County. Athletes from Port Jefferson, Shoreham-Wading River, Kings Park, Mt. Sinai, Eastport-South Manor, Babylon, Rocky Point, Patchogue-Medford, Copiague, Comsewogue, Longwood, Middle Country, and Miller Place converged at Hauppauge High School for nine individual events.

Ruth Crane was the Bears’ top finisher of the day with a 26.35 performance in the 50 free. Amelia Griffin, Kaitlyn Tse, and Sofia Arrascue also turned in top five performances for the Bears. The team is back in the water today in a non-league meet at Hauppauge.
