It might have just been a scrimmage, but it was the Bears’ first track competition against another school in 723 days, so there was plenty of excitement around the Marvin W. Goldberg track on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears welcomed Poly Prep, their old Ivy Prep School League rivals, out for a scrimmage on a beautiful spring afternoon at the Buyers’ Park complex. The Blue Devils brought out a small but talented crew from Brooklyn, but the Bears’ depth proved to be too much as the boys’ and girls’ teams both won with unofficial scores of 50-35 and 43-22, respectively.
