On this day 22 years ago, the baseball team edged Port Jeff, 4-3.

The Bears did all their scoring in a four-run 4th inning, capped by a Pete Grimm single that scored Teppei Inoue. Grimm then came on in relief and did not allow a hit over the finals two innings to pick up his fourth save.

Grimm finished 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI while Inoue went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs.

The bears went on to win the League VII Championship that season.
