On this day 12 years ago, Brian Tilley ’04 scored 4 goals for Hartford University in a Saturday night match-up at Stony Brook University.

Though the Hawks fell to the Seawolves, 7-11, Tilley tied for the game-high with 4 goals to lead Hartford. His unassisted score three minutes into the third quarter gave the Hawks their first lead at 4-3, then he added two more goals in the final two minutes of the frame to give Hartford a 7-6 edge heading into the fourth. However, a 5-0 advantage in the final period gave the Seawolves the win.

Tilley finished his senior season as the team MVP as he finished second in scoring among midfielders in the America East Conference and eighth overall. His outstanding season earned him an invitation to the NEILA East-West All-Star Game.
