On Saturday morning, Riley Corcoran returned to the Brown Northeast Invitational held at Goddard State Park in Warwick, RI. The senior took 13th place in the Division I Varsity race’s field of 180 in a career-best time of 16:10. The mark also placed him 20 seconds below MileSplit’s U.S. Silver Standard of 16:30 for 5000 meters.

He slashed over a minute off his time in the same race a year ago when he ran 17:27 to claim 47th place. Corcoran rejoins his Blue & White teammates on Monday in the PSAA Championship at Van Cortlandt Park as the Bears look to repeat as League Champions.
