On Saturday, the boys’ cross country team got their first taste of competition in the annual Bob Pratt Invitational held at Sunken Meadow State Park.

Riley Corcoran finished 11th in the faster of the two varsity races in a near-personal record time of 18:05. Colin Scanlon (51st/19:53), Forest Kaplan-Walbrecht (58th/20:04), Zack Xu (61st/20:12), and Emman Ajewole (84th/22:04) ran well enough to give the Bears a 10th place finish out of fifteen teams in a field that included Ward Melville, Chaminade, and Smithtown. The Brook placed ahead of Mattituck, Rocky Point, Center Moriches, Wantagh, and Friends Academy.

The harriers are back in action on Saturday in the Suffolk Coaches Meet.
