On this day 24 years ago, the boys’ lacrosse team topped Islip in Division II action, 10-3, to improve to 12-2 on the season.

Sam Hanchett, Jake Kenney, and Jim Bickley each notched a pair of goals and an assist to lead the Brook. Dennis Cassidy (2 goals), Charlie Hanchett (1), and Spencer Niebuhr (1) rounded out the scoring for the Bears. Derek Kenney (7 saves) and Matt Avitable (5) held the Buccaneers scoreless in the second and fourth quarters.

The boys went on to win a second consecutive Suffolk County Championship.
