The ’91 boys’ tennis squad
On this day 28 years ago, the boys’ tennis team capped one of the greatest seasons in the history of the program with a 5-2 win over Southold/Greenport, securing an undefeated League Championship in the process.
Led by All-League recipients Dameon Goode, Takeshi Seki, and John White, Fred Jordan’s boys went 17-0 to win both the League VII and Conference IV titles.
The ’91 championship was the sixth in program history and the first since 1983. Their 17 wins that season is still the program record.
