Both Jerome Washington ’12 and Don Liotine ’13 went undrafted in this weekend’s NFL Draft, but both received invites from NFL teams in the frenzied aftermath of free agent signings and mini camp invites.
Washington, who was ranked 11th out of 32 tight ends on NFL.com‘s list of top undrafted rookie free agents, signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent and reports to their mandatory rookie mini camp on May 10. While there he may rub shoulders with Kyler Murray, the 2018 Heisman Trophy winner and newly minted #1 overall draft pick of the Cardinals.
Liotine has not yet signed with a team, but today received invites to personal workouts from the Minnesota Vikings and Washington’s professional football team. He meets with Minnesota next weekend and Washington the weekend after.
