The ’89 baseball squad

On this day 30 years ago, the baseball team won a thriller over La Salle Military Academy.

The Bears led 6-1 after three innings, but LaSalle chipped back to within 6-4 after five. The Brook added three more runs in the bottom of the 6th, but La Salle rallied for four runs in the top of the 7th to close to within 9-8. Clinging to the narrow lead in the final inning, outfielder Kolt Jones threw out a La Salle runner at the plate to end the game.

Cameron Thiessen pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts for the Brook.
