This afternoon, the boys’ badminton team topped Lindenhurst, 7-2, in a non-league match in Swanson Gymnasium. A season ago the Bears swept the Bulldogs in two matches, 6-3 and 5-4, en route to the League II Championship.

Today, the Bears feasted on the five singles matches as Jerry Liu (15-3, 15-4), Glen Choi (15-3, 15-1), Tony Yu (15-8, 15-6), Kevin Zhang (15-2, 15-1), and Martin Lee (15-2, 15-5) led a sweep.

On the doubles side, Lucien Liu and Ian Liu (15-1, 15-5) took second doubles and Frank Cheng and David Chen (15-4, 15-5) won third doubles to close out the victory.

The Bears sit atop the PSAA standings and are back in action on Tuesday in a league match-up vs. the Knox School.
