On this day 25 years ago, the Bears won three titles at the Boys’ Swimming County Championships held at Ward Melville HS.

Jon Meltzer won the 50 freestyle crown in 22.35, then joined the relay threesome of Casey O’Donnell, Steve Meltzer, and Jean Crousillat to win the 200 medley (1:40.12) and 200 sprint (1:30.28) relays, capping a memorable day for the Brook. Both relays qualified for the State Championship along with Meltzer and Crousillat (3rd/ 22.68) as individuals in the 50 free.
