On Monday afternoon, the girls’ basketball team traveled to Queens, topping the Kew-Forest School, 56-17, to improve to 5-1 in PSAA play and 3-1 in the division. They remain tied in the loss column with Portledge atop the East Division standings.
The Bears raced out to a 23-7 lead after the first quarter and held a 36-12 lead at the half before putting the game away with a 14-0 third frame.
Beth Felix led all scorers with 16 points (three 3-pointers), while Niamh Scanlon (13), Nadia Hall (8), Liz Robbins (7), Ava McCormick (7), and Sarah Hull (4) rounded out a balanced scoring attack.
The girls are back in action on on Friday in a divisional match-up at Waldorf.
