On Thursday afternoon, the boys’ basketball team topped the Ross School, 77-42, in a non-league match-up to improve to 31-0 all-time vs. the Ravens.
Ross scored the opening bucket of the game, but the Bears closed the quarter on a 35-5 run, catalyzed by their suffocating defense which produced eight steals in the frame. Seamus Scanlon poured in 17 points in the period on six layups, a jumper, and a 3-pointer to power the Blue & White attack. The Bears furthered their lead in a 15-4 second quarter for a 50-11 halftime lead, punctuated by a steal and layup by Christian Bunn-Livingstone and a Peter Simone 3-pointer.
The Ravens showed great heart in winning the final two frames, 14-12 and 17-15, but the Bears took the convincing win.
