On this day 11 years ago, the girls’ cross country team wrapped up an undefeated League Championship season with a 25-30 victory over Shelter Island. It was the program’s first league title since 1993.
The team was led by All-League runners Sarah Higgins (1st Team), Liz Anderson (2nd Team), and Alexandra Damianos (2nd Team). The Bears went on to repeat as League Champs the following year.
