After an outstanding performance in Stony Brook University’s win on Saturday, Don Liotine ’13 was named the CAA Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Here is the press release from the CAA:
Liotine rushed for a season-high 163 yards on 32 carries in Stony Brook’s 35-7 win at New Hampshire. With backfield mate Jordan Gowins out, the senior shouldered the load with all but five of the Seawolves’ rushing attempts and averaged 5.1 yards per carry. It was Liotine’s fourth 100-yard rushing performance in the past six games.
Liotine was twice named the CAA Rookie of the Week in 2015 and was named the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week last season, but this is his first Offensive Player of the Week nod.
