On Friday afternoon, the girls’ soccer team earned a 6-1 non-league victory over Avenues at Chelsea Park in Manhattan.
Donna Sanders continued her offensive assault with five goals, her third game of the season of at least five scores. Those three games are also the three highest individual scoring performances in program history. The senior tucked away two in the first half, courtesy of assists from Madison Logan and Beth Felix, then tallied three more in the second half to put the game away. Alyssa Martinez also added a second half score. Felix finished with three assists while Logan added two and Luli Vusanjin one. Sarah Hull made 3 stops in goal.
The Bears are back in action tomorrow afternoon in a home league match-up with league-leader Portledge. A win would give the Bears a share of the East Division crown.
