
Over the weekend, the girls’ soccer team played a pair of non-league games upstate in Lake Placid.
On Friday afternoon, they topped Northwood, 6-4, thanks to a school record six goals from Donna Sanders. The senior scored a hat trick in each half thanks to assists by Sophia DiLavore (2), Madison Logan (2), Beth Felix, and Lara Montalbano. Sanders’ incredible day broke the previous record of four goals jointly held by Carolyn Gilroy (1999), Kelsey Wentling (2009), Donna Liotine (2010), and Michelle Hennessy (2010).
On Saturday morning, the Bears played to a 1-1 tie with Saranac Lake. Beth Felix scored the lone goal for the Brook thanks to an assist from Caroline Maglione.
The Bears are back in action on Thursday in a home match-up with Portledge.
