The 1996-97 wretsling squad

On this day 21 years ago, three Bears were crowned champions at the 13th Annual Brohard Wrestling Tournament.

Egan Picken won an 8-4 decision in the 99-pound class, Derek Kenney pinned his Storm King opponent in 2:00 in the 152-pound class, and Chris Drew won a 6-1 decision over a Martin Luther wrestler to claim top honors in the 160-pound class.

Rob Wenner earned the award for most pins in the least amount of time.

The Bears finished 3rd overall as a team behind East Hampton and Friends Academy.
