Bears Run Against New York’s Best
November 11, 2017
It was a frigid day in Ontario, NY for the New York State Cross Country Championships, but four Bears were up to the challenge.
Despite 26-degree temperatures and an inch of snow and mud on the course, Riley Corcoran ran an impressive time, taking 54th place in the 117-man, Class D field, and 10th among sophomores, in 18:43. Louis Wang closed his Stony Brook running career with a 90th place finish in 20:13.
On the girls’ side, Sarah Wong took 83rd place in 25:52 and Vivien Mimura finished 85th in 25:56. They finished 19th and 20th, respectively, among all freshmen.
