Olivia Braat in action last season (PC: Bruce Jeffrey)
On Thursday afternoon the girls’ tennis team turned back Portledge 4-1 in a non-league tilt in Locust Valley.
Sadhana Sridhar (8-1), Marta Bennett (8-5), and Olivia Braat (8-2) swept the singles matches while Bella Ballato and Samantha Salazar took their second doubles match, 8-7. Portledge, a member of the Private Schools Athletic Association (PSAA), plays with pro set scoring meaning the first to win eight games is the victor.
The Bears are back in action on Monday afternoon at Longwood.
