
On this day 14 years ago, Liam Banks ’98 notched four points in Syracuse University’s 16-7 win over Brown University.
The former Bear put the Orangemen on the board first with a goal at 5:05 mark of the first quarter. Banks also added assists in each of the next three quarters to help fifth-ranked ‘Cuse defend the Carrier Dome turf.
The Orangemen would go on to earn a berth in a 21st consecutive NCAA Final Four before falling to Hopkins, 19-8. Banks would close his final season in orange as the fourth-leading scorer on the team with 33 points. After graduating he played professionally from 2004-2009 for three Major League Lacrosse franchises: the New Jersey Pride, San Francisco Dragons, and Chicago Machine.
