The golf team opened the season yesterday with two resounding victories over Class AA schools. After finishing 0-10 a season ago, the Bears scorched Patchogue-Medford, 7-2, and Middle Country, 6-3, to earn two victories in just one afternoon. The wins were made even more impressive by the size disparity between our team and their opponents. Middle Country is actually a combination of the Newfield and Centereach high schools with an enrollment around 4,000, while our enrollment is approximately 300 in the high school grades. Pat-Med’s enrollment is around 3,000.

Freshman Chris Kang was the high-scorer for the Brook with a 41 over the nine holes. Steven Ou (44), Jamie Barkume (45), Harry Ou (55), Konsti Asam (58), and William Wei (64) rounded out the scoring.
