This morning, the girls’ basketball team won the consolation game of the Portledge Holiday Tournament with a 35-15 victory over the Waldorf School.
The Brook held an 8-2 lead after one quarter and took a 12-2 advantage over the Wolverines into halftime. The Bears broke the game open with a dominant 21-2 third quarter to carry an insurmountable 33-4 lead into the final quarter.
Every available player scored, led by Annie Skorobohaty’s 13. Sammy Petersen (6 points), Megan Hutzler (3), Jessica Nwachukwu (3), Rochelle Vassell (3), Danielle Graves (2), and Amaiya McDonald (2) rounded out the scoring for the Blue and White.
