On This Day In History | 2005

April 30, 2015

On this day 10 years ago, Nick Miaritis ’01 scored a game-high 4 goals to lead Georgetown over Rutgers, 14-7, on Senior Day.

The senior midfielder helped the Hoyas jump out to an early lead that they would not relinquish, netting 2 goals in the opening quarter. He scored his third goal less than a minute into the third quarter to give Georgetown a two-goal cushion and from there they never looked back on the way to a decisive victory.

Miaritis would close his final year with the Hoyas as an Honorable Mention All-American and the 4th-highest scorer on the team with 25 points.
