On this day 10 years ago, Nick Miaritis ’01 scored a game-high 4 goals to lead Georgetown over Rutgers, 14-7, on Senior Day.

The senior midfielder helped the Hoyas jump out to an early lead that they would not relinquish, netting two goals in the opening quarter. He scored his third goal less than a minute into the third quarter to give Georgetown a two-goal cushion and from there they never looked back on the way to a decisive victory.

Miaritis would close his final year with the Hoyas as an Honorable Mention All-American and the fourth-highest scorer on the team with 25 points.
