A return to varsity play, after spending last year at the junior varsity level, was a difficult transition for the softball team. However, though the girls lost the majority of their contests they stayed competitive behind the excellent play of Linda Devine and Emily Stone. The highlight of the season was a 2-1 victory over Southampton, courtesy of a walk-off single by Michelle Hennessy.

While the senior leadership of Hennessy, Kierran Petersen, and Christine Boss will be missed next season, Devine and Stone are set to return and will be ably helped by Nicole Antieri, Alissa Antieri, Alexa Augustine, Alexa Haemer, Nicole Willoughby, and Hannah Abrahamsen.
